New Clients
A gentle step toward healing✨
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, uncertain, or even overwhelming. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, you child, or your family, we want you to know you are not alone. At The Counseling Collective, we aim to make your first experience with therapy feel safe, clear, and supported.
This page will guide you through what to expect, how to begin, and how we work together.
What to Expect in Therapy
Your therapy journey begins with connection. The first session is space to share what brings you in, explore your goals, and begin building a therapeutic relationship grounded in safety and trust.
In your initial sessions, we will:
- Get to know your story and current challenges
- Discuss your hopes and goals for therapy
- Explore your background and emotional landscape
- Begin gentle tools for grounding and regulation
- Collaborate on a plan tailored to your needs
You are always in control of the pace. Therapy here is not rushed - it is intentional, attuned, and supportive.
