About
A space for healing, connection, and compassionate care.
The Counseling Collective was created from the belief that meaningful healing happens in safe, collaborative relationships. We are a group of dedicated therapists committed to walking alongside children, adults, and families as they navigate life's challenges, heal from trauma, and reconnect with their authentic selves.
Our practice is rooted in the understanding that every person carries a unique story. We honor that story with kindness, curiosity, and evidence-based care, offering a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
Our Philosophy
At The Counseling Collective, we believe therapy is more than symptom relief - it is a process of restoring safety, strengthening connection, and nurturing resilience. Our approach is grounded in:
- Trauma-informed care
- Attachment-focused therapy
- Somatic and body-based healing
- Relational and collaborative practice
- Strengths-based, client-centered support
We create a warm, grounded environment where clients can move at their own pace while developing tools for emotional regulation, insight, and lasting change.
Our Story
The Counseling Collective was founded by Natalie (Willey) Hanks, LPC, LAC, RPT, with the vision of building a practice that values both clinical excellence and genuine human connection. Natalie envisioned a space where clinicians could grow together, support one another, and offer deeply intentional care to the community.
By bringing together licensed therapists, counseling interns, and a social worker, The Counseling Collective provides a continuum of care that balances experience, accessibility, and heart.
Meet Our Team
Natalie (Willey) Hanks, LPC, LAC, RPT
Founder & Clinical Supervisor
Natalie specializes in trauma recovery, EMDR, play therapy, and somatic approaches. She works with children, adults, and couples, offering a grounded, relational style that prioritizes safety and trust. Natalie also provides supervision and mentorship for emerging clinicians, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and ethical practice.
Her work is guided by the belief that healing happens through connection and that every client deserves to feel safe, worth, and understood.
Our Counseling Interns
Our interns bring fresh perspective, compassion, and dedication to their work with children, teens, and adults. Under the supervision of Natalie, they provide supportive and accessible therapy while continuing to deepen their clinical skills and professional development.
Intern sessions offer an affordable option for clients while maintaining high-quality, trauma-informed care.
Our Social Worker
Our licensed social worker brings experience in family systems, trauma-informed practice, and community-based support. They focus on practical skill-building while honoring the emotional and relational needs of each client.
This role allows us to strengthen wrap-around care for individuals and families seeking both emotional support and real-life systems navigation.
